Cumming Library will host a book sale sponsored by the FCPL Friends and Advocates where shoppers can find big bargains on books, audiobooks, CDs and DVDs.

The sale will be held in the community meeting room of the Cumming branch of the Forsyth County Public Library located at 585 Dahlonega Road in Cumming. The sale will be open to the public on Saturday, March 24 from 10:00am to 5:00pm and on Sunday, March 25 from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

The sale features a selection of over 7,500 books including fiction, non-fiction, books for teens and children’s books. Other media, such as music CDs, movies on DVD, and workout videos or DVD are also available at the sale.

“The sale also includes a Special Collections area where patrons may purchase like-new hardcover books, antique books, first editions and signed copies of certain titles,” says Ramona Stoner, Treasurer. Ramona led the effort to set up the new FCPL Friends and Advocates Book Store at the Cumming Library and has seen virtually every title in the inventory.

All members of FCPL Friends and Advocates are invited to attend a members-only preview sale Friday, March 23 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm for first choice of all books and media. New members may join at the door. Membership forms are available online at http://forsythfol.org/beafriend/.

Scanners (devices that scan titles for book resellers) will be permitted at the sale only for current Business-level members of FCPL Friends and Advocates.

“Sale proceeds are used to programs at all branches of the Forsyth County Public Library system, including summer reading programs, youth book discussion groups, Forsyth Reads, Money Smart Week and guest lecturers,” says Paula Glover, Publicity Coordinator for FCPL Friends and Advocates.
