The Forsyth county Public Library Friends & Advocates exists to support the programs and resources of our county's public libraries.  The funds generated by the Friends are used to support the library and enhance its resources. 

What We Do

The Friends most popular event is the semi-annual Used Book Sale.  We accept and collect donations year-round for books to be sold at these sales.   Just use our web form to schedule a pickup.

Proceeds from these sales are used to help fund various projects that benefit the library and our community.  Some of the recently funded projects include:

· Donation of funds for performers and book prizes for the Vacation Reading Program.

· Sponsorship of Teen Programs and Teen Nights. 

· Sponsorship of the Library Spelling Bee Team, the Lexicons.  This is a community fund raiser which supports literacy.

· Funding of electronic equipment and costumes to enhance our staff programs and events.

· Sponsorship of books for the annual Forsyth County Reads Together program.

· FCPL Cinema at Hampton Park

· Materials for Adult Reading Clubs
